CLEAR and Manchester United bring football to life
As one of the most iconic football clubs, Manchester United has earned its reputation by being the most successful team in English football, having won more trophies than any other team, whilst also spreading its football philosophy through the Manchester United Soccer Schools.
With the growing interest in football, Manchester United has realized the potential in the Philippines by activating a partnership with CLEAR to grow the No.1 Sport in the world.
“CLEAR and Manchester United share a common philosophy in football development and I am excited by the extensive programme of activity that we will be delivering together. Our shared commitment to inspiring today’s youth, through football, not only enhances physical wellbeing, but promotes social development too.
“Manchester United has over a million followers in the Philippines and I am delighted with this opportunity to bring our Soccer Schools to the country through our partnership with CLEAR.” said Jamie Reigle, Managing Director of Manchester United Asia Pacific.
Gina Lorenzana, Unilever Vice President for Personal Care said, “In recent years, CLEAR has strived to inspire the next generation of great football players. This 2014, Clear and Manchester United will launch the first ever Clear-Manchester United Football Camp, where the 32 most promising young amateur players will be trained in the Manchester United Soccer School.”
Known for its two all- star football games, and represented by Philippine Azkals, James and Phil Younghusband, CLEAR wishes to further aid the development of Philippine football through a regional search for the top 32 young footballers in the country which will culminate in a 3-day Clear-Manchester United Football Camp facilitated by the Clear-Manchester United Soccer Schools.
The 3-day football camp will bring in UEFA accredited coaches and utilize the club’s prestigious training program that has worked with world-class players such as David Beckham, Ryan Giggs, and CLEAR global endorser and 2014 FIFA Ballon D’Or winner, Cristiano Ronaldo.
“This is a step closer to Clear’s goal of inspiring the next generation of young footballers in the country,” Lorenzana said.
To kick off the search, CLEAR, in partnership with the United Football League (UFL), will hold try-outs in Davao, Bacolod, Cebu and Metro Manila.
Interested applicants can apply by going to www.cleardreammatch.com.ph starting February 1 or by calling 0999-768-4551. Tryouts will take place in the following dates March 22 (Cebu), March 23 (Iloilo), March 29 (Davao), March 30 (Metro Manila), April 25-27 (Camp).
With new partnerships with the biggest names in football, CLEAR continues its longtime mission to help amateur and professional football players stay dandruff-free and focused on winning on and off the pitch.
