Bayanihan Steps

“As the nation continues to combat the spread of the pandemic, it important for us to step up and support our Filipino frontliners as they work tirelessly to continue the fight against the pandemic. In partnership with leading brands like Smart and Unilever, this initiative aims to provide them with exclusive vouchers and deals that they can use for themselves and their family members. Shopee is committed to supporting our frontline workers in any way possible. We will continue to develop great initiatives to help the Filipino community adjust and rebuild during this time of the pandemic,” says Martin Yu, Shopee Philippines, Associate Director.

As the country continues the fight against Covid-19, these frontline workers continue to endure the time being away from home and their families.

“Unilever seeks to build purposeful and meaningful partnerships and we are grateful to work with Shopee on this initiative that values and rewards the contributions of our frontliners. Through our purpose-driven brands, we continue to find ways to extend assistance and ‘malasakit’ where it is needed,” shares Kay Veloso - Palisoc, Unilever Philippines Head of E-Commerce.

This partnership is also aligned with Unilever’s Malasakit for All, a local response covering support for our employees, partners, and communities launched in March. Among the initiatives included are provision of hygiene relief packs and medical supplies to hospitals, NGOs, and affected groups nationwide.
