Volunteers from each site went early to the beneficiary schools to join teachers and students in efforts to make sure that schools are ready to receive students and are conducive for learning. This year’s partner schools are Ususan Elementary School, Justo Elementary School, Pulo Elementary School, Manggahan Elementary School, and Javalera Elementary School.
With just 380 onsite volunteer hours, volunteers were able to paint 7 plant pots; clean and paint 304 school chairs and 60 school desks; sweep and mop 22 classrooms; clean and sanitize 23 bathrooms and 33 toilets; clean 15 hallways and 8 school grounds; and paint 4 building walls.
UGIVES volunteers turned over a variety of cleaning materials and donated packs of Domex to ensure the students, parents, and teachers are able to sustain a clean and sanitized school.
Brigada Eskwela 2019 with the theme “Matatag na Bayan para sa Maunlad na Paaralan,“ is a week-long clean-up of schools in preparation of the incoming school year.
