PDS and Unilever Philippines partner in Skin Health Advocacy Campaign

Unilever Philippines was recently conferred with the President’s Award by Philippine Dermatological Society of the Philippines (PDS) in recognition of its key role in the Society’s Skin Health campaign. The advocacy aims to educate the general public on skin health and safety as well as to stress the importance of consultations with a certified PDS dermatologist.

The President’s Awards are given to companies who had significantly contributed in the promotion of skin health and patient safety. Other recipients honored were companies from the pharmaceutical industry.

PDS worked closely with Unilever in developing the advocacy campaign. Creative educational materials promoting effective and safe medical, surgical and cosmetic treatments through consultation with skilled, trained and certified dermatologists were produced and disseminated. Among the campaign materials, a series of television and radio commercials were aired in major stations nationwide.

Just recently, Unilever, through its brand Dove, participated in PDS’ 32^nd Annual Convention which gathered hundreds of dermatologists from all over the world. An interactive Dove booth was set up to generate more awareness about the Dove Campaign for Real Beauty as well as for the participants to enjoy the wide range of the brand’s products.
