Bringing Vitality to Filipino Children
The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Philippines recently awarded a distinguished line-up of top level executives with its Communication Excellence in Organizations or CEO Excel Awards. Unilever Managing Director for Foods, Mr. Benjie Yap was honoured with the award at the ceremonies held at the Petron Mega Plaza Cultural Hall.
Winning for its communication campaign “Makulay Ang Buhay ng Batang Pinoy” Supplementary Feeding Program, Unilever’s corporate social responsibility project spearheaded by its number one food brand Knorr, spreads the value of proper nutrition and vegetable-eating to mothers and children nationwide. The advocacy is part of Unilever’s commitment to the United Nations Millennium Development Goals. Together with its other partners - Kabisig ng Kalahi, the United Nations World Food Program and the Department of Social Welfare and Development – Unilever has committed to help lower the rate of malnutrition to 10% in children 5 years old and below by the year 2015.
Realising the vision of addressing malnutrition problems in the country is a continuous advocacy that Unilever is committed to doing in order to help bring vitality back in the lives of more Filipino children.
